Project Kenya

The Trip

What we'll be getting up to

This is not a trip for the faint hearted, nor for those who really need a relaxing holiday. It is for those who want to make a difference, who want to help change other peoples lives for the better.

The projects will be carried out in two week blocks, over June, July and August 2007. The main aim is to build 5 schools with a toilet, showers and kitchen, put in a bore hole and help establish a farming co-operative in the vicinity, so that the project can eventually be self-supporting.

There will also be an opportunity for individuals to pass on their skills to others, providing widows or bread winners with the means of providing for themselves and for others. Examples would be a Beautician/nail specialist, who could train others to perform manicures and bring the tools they would need to set up businesses.

Doctors and nurses etc, are also needed to provide medical help in the field. If you would like to help, but do not need feel able to travel to Kenya, you can still raise money and send it directly to Skills For Living and you can help raise money for a friend to do the Kenya project 2007.
